The logo combines playful, irregular letterforms to reflect the idea of a “curveball” something unexpected, surprising, and humorous. This expressive typography gives the mark personality and energy, mirroring the spontaneous nature of stand-up comedy.
The color system is built around a vibrant pink and electric lime green palette. Pink represents confidence, celebration, and queer culture, while the lime green adds a fresh, energetic contrast that keeps the identity bold and highly visible across digital and event environments. Supporting black and white tones help ground the system, ensuring strong readability and versatility.
A dedicated shape beneath the logo houses the city name in this case, Palm Springs. This element functions as a modular label that can easily be replaced with other city names when the festival expands into different locations as part of a touring comedy series. This system allows the brand to stay consistent while adapting seamlessly across multiple cities.
Supporting elements such as the comic style burst and the playful laughing icon reference classic stand-up and comic visuals, reinforcing the lighthearted nature of the festival.
